Black Lodge Audio, the label that Sam Shinazzi has released his third album Then I Held My Breath through, I get the impression is a counterpart of the Dutch Excelsior Recordings. Sam Shinazzi sits in the corner of REM and bands like Counting Crows and the Dave Matthews Band. Shinazzi from Sydney, to summarize, is known for guitar pop with mild Twang. Love his CD dedication to his cat Fred (1988-2007) and as a cat lover its difficult to say anything negative about this CD. This is so full of great songs and is easy on the ear.
