in winter..

.. it's like drinking black coffee trying to stay warm and keeping the cold out. the rain falls, the wind blows. some of you even get to see snow.

in autumn..

.. it's a backyard in the suburbs, and hundreds leaves covering the green grass.

in summer..

.. it's a night-time thing. out on the balcony (porch) with some beers and your friends.

in spring..

.. it's the hope for a brighter day.

Stories You Wouldn't Believe

AltCountry.nl review

(Please note this was translated from Belgium so the wording is a little interesting)

Under the name of The C-Minus Project Sam Shinazzi made two cd's with mainly voice and acoustic guitar.
Now, Shinazzi has gone under own name on his new cd 'Stories You Wouldn' t Believe'. It is in several respects the opposite end of the world, for Shinazzi is originating from the east coast of Australia. A further image to get: he went for a ride with The Pernice Brothers, Josh Rouse and Evan Dando. And especially this last one has been a large influence on Shinazzi. 'It's A Shame About Ray', the same acoustic bed, the similar drums, and then also an overload with beautiful songs.

'Breakdown', 'I Don' t Belong Here', 'My Friend And A Free Day' until the fine 'Trying Not To Think About It'. In a bitter tone, Shinazzi sings its through jingling guitars which accompany the songs, brilliant in the melancholy center displayed on ‘The Drifter’. Here Sam Shinazzi reaches a very high level, so that the conclusion is that here is a very interesting modern troubadour at work.
