Stories You Wouldn't Believe
Sam Shinazzi - Stories You Wouldn't Believe
(Laughing Outlaw)
Previously performing as The C-Minus Project, singer/songwriter Sam Shinazzi has stepped from the façade to deliver a deeply personal album of acoustic-based songs in the vein of Grand Salvo and Machine Translations, albeit with a distinctly Ben Lee-styled accent.
Opening with ‘Breakdown’ Shinazzi demonstrates his knack for quirky lyrical images backed by a solid pop tune. This, my dear friends, is what is commonly known as a ‘hook’, and Shinazzi has plenty of them. And while Stories You Wouldn’t Believe may not change your life, it will make the daily grind that much more tolerable with it’s quaint friendliness.
