in winter..

.. it's like drinking black coffee trying to stay warm and keeping the cold out. the rain falls, the wind blows. some of you even get to see snow.

in autumn..

.. it's a backyard in the suburbs, and hundreds leaves covering the green grass.

in summer..

.. it's a night-time thing. out on the balcony (porch) with some beers and your friends.

in spring..

.. it's the hope for a brighter day.

Live Reviews

The C-Minus Project @ Hopetoun Hotel NSW
December, 19, 1999

Whoever came up with the idea of an afternoon show should be congratulated. There's no better way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon waiting to go out than by going out early. It all began very nonchalantly as Sam Shinazzi, aka The C-Minus Project, seemingly materialosed on stahe and began playing. He strikes an odd figure, does Sam.

A fairly tall, scruffy looking man with a very innocent sounding voice that usually give the impression that he is on the verge of tears, strumming along on an electric guitar, with a tape recorder at his feet. Sam has the most remarkable ability to sing the most depressing, gut-wrenching songs, and yet still have you feeling nice and warm inside. I wish I knew how he did that, it would make the bad reviews easier to write. Near the conclusion of the set he was joined onstage by Liz, from the following band and her oh-se gorgeous voice just pushed the songs into another dimension.

The two of them sounded wonderful together, and all without any rehearsing for roughly a year.
