in winter..
.. it's like drinking black coffee trying to stay warm and keeping the cold out. the rain falls, the wind blows. some of you even get to see snow.in autumn..
.. it's a backyard in the suburbs, and hundreds leaves covering the green grass.in summer..
.. it's a night-time thing. out on the balcony (porch) with some beers and your friends.in spring..
.. it's the hope for a brighter day.
UPDATE FROM SAM - DECEMBER 2009
Hello, hope all is well. I just thought I'd let you know a few things from the land of Team Shinazzi that may be of interest to you:
- We're currently writing songs for what we hope will be our fourth proper album. I am confident more than half of it has been written, and lately the writing has been flowing steadily which is always a relief and just a real interesting time. We've only played one of the songs live so all things being well, most of it should be fairly fresh to most listening sets of ears. I have no idea when we'll start to record, let alone release the next album but please know that a)in some way or another, we're working on it from here on in and b)we all hope its sooner rather than later. I would hope by Autumn/Spring 2010 but it could be later, it could be sooner. I just never know with these things eh. I probably shouldn't have even mentioned those seasons, right?! Stay tuned here and at MySpace for further goss, or shoot me an email at thec_minusproject@yahoo.com
- We had some shows for December lined up but unfortunately all three of them have fallen through. We are disappointed not to be playing as much as we'd like to be but hopefully we'll play some shows in the near future or closer to the next release. (We're always up for shows if anyone wants to offer them). In truth though, it means we have no reason not to concentrate on the next album.
- We hope any day now to announce an overseas deal for the last album 'Then I Held My Breath'. I am told it is happening and as soon as it's official in my eyes, I will scream it out to you all.
- I just got back from America (mostly a holiday) but I did some writing and pressed a few hands! I even ended up playing a last minute show with my friend Matt Braaten in Los Angeles at this little bar, the name of which escapes me. I saw Bruce Springsteen over two nights at Madison Square Garden! He is simply the Greatest of all time.
Take care,
Sam x
